Make up primer should first be applied, such as Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer. Concealer, such as Rimmel Match Perfection 2-in-1 concealer should then be applied (before your foundation as this gives a smoother finish).
Remember to blend your makeup into the neck area, as this will most likely be on show during the photo shoot.

The foundation you use can be cream, powder or liquid based, but it is essential that it is a MATTE formulation to prevent facial shine and reflections from the studio lights. Popular choices are HD Forever (formulated specifically for studio use) and Bare Minerals Foundation.
Begin applying the foundation at your chin and nose, blending outwards, using a brush, fingers or sponge. Don't forget to cover your neck and other exposed areas.
