Tip 4 - A Guide to Killer Lips in the Studio

If you follow our tips and tricks on studio makeup your lips will be the perfect symmetrical shape and look absolutely gorgeous.

The first thing to remember is that professional studio lighting will make your preferred shade of lipstick look pale, washed out and uninviting. Take a tip from our professional makeup artist and apply a shade of lipstick which is at least two shades brighter and bolder than what you normally use.

• Lipstick application should be at two shades bolder than usual
• Lip liner should matches your lip stick colour (not your lip colour)
• Why not try a contemporary dual colour lip stick look
• Lip gloss can be applied only to the centre of the mouth

Begin by out lining your lips with a lip pencil. This should match the colour of your lipstick. In order to make your lips fuller and more inviting, you should trace an outline at least 2-3mm outside of your lip line.

Your lip stick should now be brush applied and blended into the liner. Take some tissue, fold it in half, placing it between your lips and pressing them together. Translucent powder should now be applied, followed by another layer of lipstick. Any excess should be removed using a tissue and lip gloss should be applied to the middle of the lips
